Condition of the bottles
Did you know that wine continues to evolve once it is bottled? This aging process will affect the condition of your wines stored in the cellar over the years. However, an aging state that is too advanced (for example, an abnormally low level) can indicate sub-optimal storage conditions.
So, for any repurchase request, do not hesitate to send us as many photos as possible: front label, back label (if existing), capsule, stopper.
Please note that even if the bottle is "dusty" and seems unfit for consumption, it can sometimes reveal many secrets. Don't throw it away and send us some visuals!

Zoom in on the status of the labels
Time leaves its mark on the labels of bottles in an almost inevitable way. Here is the lexical field that we use to describe the wines of the private cellar , which you can also use when sending a request for an estimate:
- ELA ( Slightly Damaged Label ): some marks, tears, stains. Label still fully legible.
- EA (Damaged Label A ): stains, tears, pronounced humidity stains. More difficult to read.
- ETA ( Very Damaged Label ): numerous stains or large tears, missing information (name, vintage, etc.).
Focus on the state of the capsules
Although designed to last, capsules can sometimes be damaged during handling, without necessarily affecting the quality of the wine. Below you will find the lexical field that we use to describe the wines of the private cellar , which you can also use when sending an estimate request:
- CLA ( Slightly Damaged Capsule ): the capsule has slight but visible tears.
- CA (Damaged Capsule A ): the capsule is partly torn or pierced.
- CE ( C apsule E llevé): it sometimes happens that the capsule has been removed (handling error, checking the condition of the cap, etc.). Keep it carefully and do not hesitate to tell us when requesting an estimate.
